Why does this forum exist?
This forum was created to inform women about a syndrome called Post tubal ligation syndrome. A syndrome many women suffer from after having a Tubal Ligation procedure. Many women have this procedure performed for many different reasons, with the most common one being that they don't want any more children. Other reasons include their partners not wanting to have a vasectomy, or various health reasons. On the surface, Tubal Ligation appears to be a perfect form of birth control. There are no pills to have to remember to take, no shots to have every three months, and most of all, no worries about condoms or other methods of birth control failing.Women are usually (though not always) required to undergo a counseling session once the decision to have a Tubal Ligation has been made. This is to make sure that she is fully aware of the Tubal Ligation procedure.Unfortunately, there is a lot that Doctors don't tell women about Tubal Ligation. They don't tell them that there are many side effects, that they may suffer considerable pain for many years as a result of these side effects. They don't tell them that they may require further surgery down the road, and most of all, they don't tell them that this has a name - Post Tubal Ligation Syndrome.
